More than 20 years on two wheels has given us a valuable insight into the good and bad service offered by motorcycle dealers all over the country. Having experienced more of the bad than good, we decided to set up Slaters Bikes.
Racing with the New Era motorcycle club over the past 6 years, at all the major circuits in the UK, brought us into contact with many of our now loyal customers. Several of them were experiencing difficulties in getting top quality parts from dealers who were actually interested in them, so they came to us.
Being able to offer the highest level of service and top quality parts from the best suppliers under one roof means that our business has gone from strength to strength. We even supply teams in British Superstock and the Supersport class of the British Superbike championships.
As regulars on the race circuit, we also get asked to prepare bikes for other people. Some are short of time, others just want to take advantage of our experience and we're more than happy to oblige. This is an area of our business which continues to expand.
Fans of road racing may also have seen us at the North West 200 in 2006 with Richard Thersby from Yarm doing a great job on our new Suzuki GSXR600K6. Watch out for us at next year's event!
